Website Maintenance

Oakville Starz's website is currently maintained by Sarina Wu and Ivy Yuan. We are looking for two more volunteers to learn and continuously update our website. No prior experience is required. Our executive members will provide comprehensive training.

Senior Community Performances

Since May 2018, Oakville Starz has been performing for senior homes every month.

Where we perform:

- VIVA Oakville Retirement Community

- West Oak Village Long-term Care

Coming performance dates and time:

Dec. 7th, 25th, 2025; 3:00-4:00pm

Jan. 4th, 18th, 2026; 3:00-4:00pm

Feb. 1st, 15th, 2026; 3:00-4:00pm

Oakville STARZ Choir

Our choir meets weekly and actively participates in competitions. We’ve proudly performed at Carnegie Hall and earned 1st place at the provincial level. Come be a part of our journey—new members are always welcome!

ABOUT VIRTUAL PERFORMANCES

Detail your services

The video collection for the tenth virtual performance has begun!

After continuous exploration and experience in the past, we have grown so much and we continue to innovate and bring forth new performances. Now that we are beginning the tenth virtual performance collection, everyone is now welcome to participate!

Through everyone's continuous participation and efforts, we will grow together. Thank you so much to everyone who has already submitted a performance.

Upload Your Performance!

For those who need to upload their performance, remember to register for the performance on the website. Please remember to fill in the volunteer hours in the form below when registering for the program. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdW1pek9vDmBUL-N8qbcL8Xdv6DrvIeNgrYO89rIn0DBvhymA/viewform

Singular performers will be awarded one volunteer hour. For those hosting, editing, and producing, the difficulty of remote coordination and post-production of combined programs will be considered. Please indicate and attach the list of performers and cloud composite producers.

Please upload the video to the STARZ performance art folder. Name the file in the following format: Name-Instrument-Title. Please note that the total duration of the video will be 45-55 minutes with each piece about 4 minutes. It is estimated that 12-13 programs will be included in order of receipt.

A Message

Our online performances have been well received by the nursing home and everyone else. Oakville STARZ, following our online Spring Festival Gala, are sending warmth to frontline workers. The ninth phase of the online performance has been sent to the nursing homes. Below there is a list of all the previous performances. Please enjoy <3
